Several aircraft have been acquired for the dual purpose of providing spares for resale and for use in refurbishing our aircraft. Through utilization of the Heavy Maintenance Centre capabilities, aircraft are refurbished to meet the standards of many jurisdictions, including Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA. Avmax’s large spares pool is not only available for initial refurbishing, but also ongoing customer operations. Avmax maintenance and flight operation personnel are available to assist customers with start-up or long-term needs.

AALI & AIALI have acquired over 40 deHavilland Dash 8 100, 200 and 300 series aircraft,  as well as CRJ and BAe-146 aircraft for the lease. program. Other aircraft types are under consideration for acquisition in the future, based on specific customer requirements.  

Successful leasing programs include being the first company to lease DHC-8 aircraft into Russia. Other long-term leases include support of our affiliated airline, Regional 1 which is operating in North America, Africa and the Middle East.
